  1. Just curious what people use for WiFi analysis? Both on an enterprise level, and a more personal level. Please note I am not talking about WiFi access point signal analysers like inSSIDer. I'm talking more about the actual 2.4/5GHz RF spectrum analysis. I see the Chanalyser Pro equipment and seem quite tempted.. Anyone had experience?
  2. The CPU only has a Heatsink, there should be baffles from the fans which blow air onto these (or maybe thats the G5, I haven't checked recently). It will boot without a heatsink but it won't last long, lol Chassis fan not needed to boot, but see previous sentence. RAM I believe is DDR2 ECC or Buffered. IBM RAID controllers _should_ work fine..... test and find out...
  3. On the networks I manage, ESET tends to be the best. Kaspersky is pretty good, and GFI/Sunbelt's Vipre isn't bad either. I've used Sophos and it does seem to be poor. McAfee has joined them in my opinion also...
  4. USB standard is 5V with 500mA. A PP3 is 9V. You _may_ break something......
  5. 68k assembly I would recommend the Atari ST or the Commodore AMIGA. I'm sure you can find these relatively cheap. If you have a floppy drive kicking around still, MS-DOS could read and write Atari ST disks, same format. So software should be pretty easy to come by from the internet.....
  6. File a NPB against them. You'll get all your listing fees returned. Then re-list. Sorry, there's not a great deal more you can do, and sadly happens all the time....
  7. The more money you can throw at it the better. It all depends on the load of the VM's in question. Smoothly for 20 instances I say 8-16 cores, 16-24GB RAM. Also fast hard discs, and lots of them.
  8. First time I've seen that vid. Absolute quality, cheers int0x80
  9. Well, FWIW, I've flashed my Alfa AP51 to v2.0.1 with no problems (from Fedora x86_64). Seems to be running fine and not encountered any problems (nor overheating), however I have noticed the web interface is sometimes slow to load the status page (index.php ?). Does anyone fancy sharing their karma/ngrep/urlsnarf conf/lists? nix-7
  10. Unfortunately you cannot do this via hosts. To my knowledge you cannot use root . nor wild cards (*) in hosts files on both windows and *nix. Your only option would be to try to enforce using a DNS server.
