Try and hack a fully patched xp sp3 with firewall enabled in a vm. Then it will make sense. The purpose off this thread is making exploitable windows livecd's with different apps on them. Why would anyone use an insecure linux livecd...same thing! To learn!

Pull tha plug ;D I think a firewall&IDS would be the best option.

We will try this at another way.(legal issue) We will try and make a setup file that installs everything on your xp iso off choice.So you can use your own xp key (thx g0tmi1k for the idea!) will keep you informed!

Hello again, My friend and me are working on this project. We are trying to make some windows livcd's that are vulnerable. Well this is our first attempt. You can download it by sending me a pm. ;D All you need is vmware player (free) config it as bridged and your good to go. So get your hashes ;D Any feedback is welcome!

I allready have a vm-lab up and running... The idea was this... for example... i create a windowsbox (xp,2003,2008...) update it but leave 1 or 2 things left to exploit. Then save the vm or make an iso of it so you can start it up in a vm and test it out. Then i could make a howto and we could pass these vm's or iso around so we can test out each others creation. c

I want to setup a pentestlab at my home and i'm wondering if it would be possible to create an image of a windows xp,2003,2008,vista&win7. Or even create an iso of a complete network. You all know the pentest live cd's thomas wilhelm created (de-ice.net)... Now i want to create something similar but in a windows environment. The mean idea would be to setup a windows machine in a vm...make it vulnerable... and make a livecd... Would it work? c

That's what i mean,i think it's better to install a new backtrack then doing the dist-upgrade. So when you run ./armitage all you get are these errors? Nothing else? c

Mine is a fresh install BT4 r1 c

that should do it then... the apt-get dist upgrade didnt do any good... c
