Phils Home Network Topology
My Home network consists of the following:-
Cable Modem connected to Virgin Media on 50Mb/s
Monowall router/firewall running on a Wyse Winterm 9450XE, this is also running IPSEC to my company connecting my LAN with my companies for easy access both from home and at work (i have rules to stop the whole company network accessing my home network and vice versa!!)
1 Linksys WRT Wifi Router V5 with DD-WRT on acting as both my Wifi Network and the switch
1 Linksys WRT Wifi Router V4 With DD-WRT on active as a bridge to my Grandstream IP phone in the living room
2 WinXP Computers 1 in the living room and 1 in my backroom
Askozio IP PBX running on a Neoware ThinClient with a digium card in connecting my Analog PSTN line in to the house with the VOIP Network, also on the IP phones you dial 9|. for PSTN line, 8|. for my Gradwell account and 0XXX for calling any Phone extension at my work place
1 Cisco 7940 IP Phone in my home office (gets calls from all 3 accounts)
1 Grandstream Budge Tone 100 in living room (Gets called from PSTN line only)
1 Windows XP Media centre running Media Portal and the explorer shall replaced with Mediaportal.exe and the windows XP start up screen replaced with a media portal logo.
Its not much but it serves and functions how i need it to.
