Will it work with Interceptor? There are two ethernet ports and I guess that Interceptor doesn't depend on the wireless chipset.

Firmware isn't really a "one size fits all". You can install openwrt and configure it to do whatever you want in theory. But it will not be something as simple as flashing with a firmware and away you go.

It is all packages and configurations so should work fine as long as OpenWrt installs
